Trust Nurse Services is seeking motivated and forward-thinking Registered Mental Health Nurses to work agency shifts

We are looking for proactive and dedicated Registered Mental Health nurses to support our NHS clients in (West London). The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the ability to communicate effectively with patients and others & the ability to create a safe and supportive environment for patients.

Responsibilities:

  • Assessing and talking to patients about their problems and discussing the best way to plan and deliver their care.

  • Building relationships with patients to encourage trust, while listening to and interpreting their needs and concerns.

  • Ensuring the correct administration of medication, including injections, and monitoring the results of treatment.

  • Responding to distressed patients in a non-threatening manner and attempting to understand the source of their discomfort.

  • Helping patients manage their emotions through de-escalation techniques.

  • Preparing and participating in group and/or one-to-one therapy sessions, both individually and with other health professionals.

  • Providing evidence-based individual therapy, such as cognitive behaviour therapy for depression and anxiety.

Experience:

  • 6 months experience working at a relevant level within the community in the UK.

  • Has a full UK driving license and access to an insured car daily.

  • Effective communication skills written, verbal and non-verbal with the ability to adapt communication for individuals with communication difficulties.

  • Able to make clinically reasoned judgements when working with a variety of conditions.

  • Able to work autonomously, and ability to know when to seek appropriate advice/guidance from senior staff.

  • Effective time management and caseload management.

  • Good problem-solving skills.

  • Working knowledge of clinical outcomes measures, and clinical audit.

  • Management of long-term conditions and palliative care.

  • Aware of safeguarding adults.

  • Search for health needs and work with the core and wider MDT to meet patient needs.
